ATMOS Optimizer: Offline Optimization of Oil Pipelines

ATMOS(TM) Optimizer is used to optimise the use of line inventory and pumps to minimise energy costs while meeting the requirements of multiple customers.
Fuel optimisation determines the optimum pump line-up and pressure set points at each station. ATMOS(TM) Optimizer uses the supply and delivery schedule to calculate the optimal running scenario based on pipeline and equipment constraints. A facility to re-rate the pump curves based on actual pipeline data is also available.

Based on the results from ATMOS(TM) Optimizer, operators could adjust the set points of the controllers and manually start or stop a pump following normal pipeline operating procedure.
