ATMOS Optimizer: Offline Optimization of Gas Pipelines

ATMOS(TM) Optimizer is used to optimise the use of line inventory and compressors to minimise energy costs while meeting the requirements of multiple customers.
Fuel optimisation determines the optimum compressor line-up and pressure set points at each station. ATMOS(TM) Optimizer uses the supply and delivery schedule to calculate the optimal running scenario based on pipeline and equipment constraints. A facility to re-rate the compressor curves based on actual pipeline data is also available.

Based on the results from ATMOS(TM) Optimizer, operators could adjust the set points of the controllers and manually start or stop a compressor following normal pipeline operating procedure.
