ATMOS International operates an aggressive research and development program to optimize performance of the system on pipeline networks and multi-phase flow pipelines and to create new applications and services.

The principle of ATMOS Pipe can be applied to multi-phase flow pipelines but the main difficulty in such applications is the lack of reliable and accurate flow meters. Tests and investigations are being conducted based on commercial instruments currently available.
