ATMOS WaveFlo has passed the FAT for fast and accurate pipeline leak detection

ATMOS WaveFlo has passed the Factory Acceptance Test for the ADCOP (ABU DHABI Crude Oil Pipeline) project. WaveFlo provides leak detection using both negative pressure wave and independent volume/mass balance method using flow meters. WaveFlo was selected for the project due to the performance requirements for small leaks to be accurately located.

ADCOP is a 48”, 405 km long crude oil pipeline from Habshan to Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates. As it goes through a mountainous region, it is critical for a leak to be detected quickly and located accurately. The project is sponsored by International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC), with suppliers and consultants from several countries. The pipeline will be operated by ADCO once commissioned.
