How well does ATMOS Pipe perform on Multi-phase pipelines?
ATMOS Pipe can detect leaks if flow and pressure data are available at the inlet and outlet of a pipeline. Since the flow meter accuracy and repeatability are lower for multiphase flow pipelines, the leak detection performance will not be as good as for single-phase pipelines. For example, the best achievable accuracy for multi-phase flow meters is 5% while it is 0.5% to 1% for single-phase flow meters. However, ATMOS uses the same principle of leak detection for multi-phase flow pipelines.
