ATMOS SIM can be used for line pack (inventory) management both online and offline. In the online environment SIM can calculate line pack per segment and survival time when the demand becomes greater than supply in a gas pipeline. Capacity analysis can be carried out offline based on different operating or design scenarios using SIM. In addition online calculated line pack can be fed to other application software such as gas management, leak detection or optimization.
