ATMOS Trainer imitates pipeline hydraulic behavior and control system response and is an excellent tool for the effective training of pipeline operators. ATMOS Trainer allows operators to run a virtual pipeline and make operational decisions without the danger of damaging any equipment or pipeline.
ATMOS Trainer solutions have been developed based on real pipeline experience and input from the extensive international community of pipeline clients. Trainer options vary greatly, depending on the level of fidelity the client desires. ATMOS supplies the complete range of Trainer options from a basic, inexpensive training tool (using the standard ATMOS SIM GUI) up to high-fidelity trainers that provide complete pipeline specific mimics of your SCADA system.
ATMOS Trainer provides either generic or dedicated pipeline training tools. The generic trainer uses a typical pipeline configuration with standard pipeline equipment and can emulate standard pipeline operations. The dedicated pipeline trainer includes a virtual pipeline that is configured per project to mimic the actual operational scenarios and procedures of each of your pipelines.
Both types of ATMOS Trainer present simulated scenarios to the trainee on a computer screen under the control and supervision of the instructor. The instructor will have at his disposal a library of pre-recorded configurations and scenarios covering the whole spectrum of perceived events, emergencies and failures that may occur during the pipeline's lifetime. The trainee's inputs and interactions will be monitored and logged for the purposes of post-training debriefings.
