Atmos featured in International Mining water management report

While water is used in the Latin American mining industry’s operational processes for reasons ranging from mineral processing, separation and extraction to the movement of ores across long distances in slurry pipelines, it’s also a resource in short supply for the Latin American population.

Angela Maya, our Sales and Support Engineer for Latin America, recently wrote an article that looks at mining companies’ social responsibility for water management and how pipeline solutions can provide support. Her full article covers the following areas:

  • The current state of water management in Latin American mining companies
  • A definition for desalination
  • The optimization of desalinated water use
  • Optimizing mining wastewater management
  • Chemicals hazardous to human health
  • Optimizing water management against external factors

Angela’s words on water management have since been featured in the March issue International Mining.

Read our feature on pages 61-63, beginning at the following section: “From slurry to human consumption: water management in Latin American mining”.
