Epping Transmission Company is the sixth pipeline company applying for a permit to join the expanding Dakota Access pipeline project.

The Williston Herald reports that if it's approved, it would add 30,000 barrels of oil per day to the pipeline that will transport 470,000 to 570,000 barrels across four states every day.
The Epping Transmission Company is proposing a $6.5 million project to connect its Epping Station and Divide Mainline Pipeline to the Dakota Access Epping Facility.
The Dakota Access pipeline is defending against legal action by the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe that argues the pipeline threatens water supplies and would damage sacred sites.
