Atmos Data Manager is a powerful system interfacing and data logging/validation facility, which can provide both pipeline and process industries with a hassle-free interface for existing and new pipeline application and control systems such as SCADA/DCS. It is a flexible tool for integrating both process and management information across an entire enterprise.

It can connect to multiple external systems via OPC, and when used alongside third-party applications such as KEPServerEX, can be connected to virtually any system that uses an established communication protocol. It can gather both real-time and simulated data at configurable intervals and operate both in standalone and redundant configurations, where the main operation is seamlessly transferred to a secondary machine on the failure of the primary.

Atmos Data Manager acts as a data logger, logging field / Atmos application data to an MS-SQL database, and contains both an OPC DA client (OPC v1.0 – 3.0 compatible) and OPC DA server (OPC v3.0), allowing robust connections with third-party applications. Alongside .xlsx export and import features, the built-in OPC client contains functions to assist system integrators in reducing the often laborious and time-consuming nature of tag-linking exercises.

Atmos Data Manager can be connected to Atmos Trend, the most flexible and comprehensive data charting and trending tool in the market, for trending of historical/real-time and look-ahead data. It also allows engineering unit conversions to all OPC tags and can validate real-time field data, allowing pre-processing before pipeline leak detection, simulation or other functions are carried out.

A powerful custom VB.NET / C#.NET scripting facility provides flexibility in interfacing with other Atmos and third-party systems, and comprehensive data manipulations. Connections to redundant server arrays can also be configured and controlled by custom scripts where necessary.

Atmos Data Manager can be installed as either a Windows service (configurable via the Atmos SMT - system management tool client) or as a standard Windows application. It acts as the central hub of all standard Atmos software installations and has been successfully deployed in a vast number of site installations, where it has consistently proved its intrinsic resilience, reliability, and scalability.
