This year, 19 runners from Atmos’ head office in Manchester UK will run ‘the world’s favorite’ 10K race to raise money for the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

The Great Manchester Run takes place on Sunday 22 May 2016 and will be broadcast on the BBC. This is one in a series of annual ‘Great Runs’ in the UK, Ireland, and Ethiopia that raise money for charities.

About the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital

Atmos has chosen to support the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, whose skilled staff saved the life of an Atmos employee’s new-born child this year.

The hospital aims to 'support excellence in the treatment, research, and care' to young patients, 'ensuring they continue to receive the highest quality treatment in the highest quality facilities'. Discover more about the charity here.

Atmos UK has supported a number of charities over the past decade including:

  • Prostate Cancer UK – 2014, 2015
    Epilepsy Research UK – 2012, 2013
    Cancer Research UK – 2008, 2010
    Marie Curie – 2009
    New Children’s Hospital Appeal – 2007

The team to beat

In 2015, Atmos beat 95 other small companies to be the fastest mixed team of the year with a combined time of 03:16:35. This was seven minutes ahead of the next best team and is a personal best for the company. We hope to do even better this year!
