Responding to rising food insecurity in our local community
This Christmas, Atmos International (Atmos) colleagues donated items in need to Chorlton & Didsbury Foodbank to help the local crisis. Chorlton & Didsbury Foodbank are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust.
We were able to give much needed items such as tinned goods, long life milk and other non-perishable items to ensure Chorlton & Didsbury Foodbankcan provide a minimum of three days’ worth of nutritionally balanced emergency food and supplies to local people.
With a year-on-year growth of 1 in 5 of the UK population relying on food banks, food banks are a lifeline that allow individuals and families to eat during the cost of living crisis. Last year, The Trussell Trust provided 2.9 million food parcels to those in need.
