On March 2, the Gas Pipeline Advisory Committee (GPAC) will meet to consider the last Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration’s (PHMSA) proposed rule. The rule is intended to amend safety regulations to gas transmission and gathering pipelines.

The Safety Update started in December 2017; when the PHMSA and the Department of Transportation (DOT) met to discuss the pipeline safety program. These changes address burdens related to emergency order procedure, plastic pipe rule, safety of hazardous liquid pipelines and underground natural gas storage facilities.

The GPAC meeting is via teleconference and is public, advanced registration is required.
